Welcome – Come Join our Team

imageAs the Seton Family of Hospitals expands to meet the healthcare needs of fast-growing areas surrounding Austin, we are looking for motivated nurses. If you are looking for an innovative work environment where you can flourish, are valued and have professional satisfaction, then Seton is the place for you.

The Seton culture supports the autonomy of nurses through shared governance. Endowed with an unusually high degree of decision-making authority, Seton nurses have a voice in virtually everything we do — from patient care issues to equipment selection.

Seton nurses enjoy a wide array of professional development opportunities, including support for national certification, Clinical Ladder, higher education, preceptor training and simulation training. We also offer the opportunity to work side-by-side with some of the most talented practitioners, including the many advanced practice nurses deployed in our inpatient and outpatient settings.

Most of Seton’s 3,200 nurses have surpassed their career goals, with many certified and presenting and publishing nationally. Seton has a Nursing Research Department directed by renowned nurse researcher Dr. Kenn Kirksey.

Seton nurses have a strong community presence and make it possible for Seton to achieve its Mission of caring for the sick and the poor. As healthcare professionals, Seton nurses are involved on local boards, in the media, in the schools and churches, in local nonprofit service organizations, in ethnic acculturation and health fairs, disaster relief and even healthcare politics.

I invite you to join your colleagues in this nurturing environment where nurse’s contributions are valued. Spend some time reviewing our sites, and discover for yourself why the Austin Business Journal continues to name Seton one of the best places to work in Central Texas and why the ANCC has designated four of our hospitals Magnet and another three with Pathway to Excellence (formerly Nurse-Friendly) status.
