After a heart event, it is especially important to look at certain lifestyle habits and determine where changes need to be made to ensure a healthier heart and prevent future cardiac problems. Cardiac rehabilitation means recovery to the best level possible and decreasing the risk of future heart events.
Seton’s Outpatient Cardiac Rehabilitation Program is designed to provide progressive aerobic exercise in a monitored setting while under medical supervision. Cardiac Rehabilitation also offers a wide variety of classes and individualized instruction designed to assist lifestyle changes necessary to be more heart healthy.
The Cardiac Rehabilitation program lasts eight to 12 weeks and includes individualized and group instruction. After an initial evaluation and orientation, an exercise program will be designed for you based on your medical condition and any limitations you may have.
