Seton has an established reputation for the treatment of complex brain and spinal disorders, including epilepsy, tumors and stroke. Across the Seton Family of Hospitals, the most advanced equipment and techniques available are used by some of the most highly trained specialists in Central Texas.

The Brain & Spine Center at University Medical Center at Brackenridge offers a variety of programs to help patients who suffer from strokes, tumors, aneurysms, head injuries, seizures and lower back problems. The Center includes two state-of-the-art operating suites, a new imaging center, an intensive care unit and its own floor with access to rehabilitation services. Brain & Spine Center is also home to Cyberknife. This is a new non-invasive, virtually painless treatment for certain tumors and is the first of its kind in Central Texas. Cyberknife can treat cancers of the head, neck and spine or lesions anywhere within the body, many of which have been diagnosed inoperable
